Beschrijving:
Witte knikkervormige stekelige bolhoofdjes van ca. 2 cm. Ze lijken op speldenkussens. Verspreidt een zoete geur en is aantrekkelijk voor vlinders en andere insecten die erop af komen. Na de bloei verschijnen er harde zaadbolletjes die er nog lang blijven aanhangen.

Winterhard in: zones 5-6-7-8-9 (-15 Celsius)

Zaai-instructies: Zaai in okt-nov en laat het zaaisel gedurende de winter buiten staan. In maart naar binnen halen. Kiemt bij 20 Celsius. Dit kan enige weken duren.

Plant-instructies: Vochtige, humusrijke bodem in de volle zon of halfschaduw. Doet het ook aan de vijverrand in ondiep water. Gedijt op de meeste standplaatsen, behalve op droge bodems.
