Toen de oranje wortel in populariteit steeg (zoeter van smaak), raakte de gele in vergetelheid. Het soort verdient echter beter: de smaak is zachtzoet en de opbrengst heel hoog! Uitstekend te bewaren in bewaarkuil met zand of koel in kisten met zand. ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ---------------- This is a real heirloom: a big yellow carrot to be eaten in winter. When the orange, sweeter carrot became fashionable, the yellow one was discarded. A pity, though! It?s taste is soft and sweet and it?s a very good cropper. Easy to store in a box with sand that is placed in a cool spot.
